Seeking example on Business Services, Technical Services, Application Services in CSDM

Hello CSDM gurus,

We are implementing CSDM for our company which is Healthcare industry and decided to put Business Services, Technical Services, Application Services within ServiceNow.

We started collecting services data from the users and we have some non-it users who are not familiar with the terminologies when i say:

Hosting services, Windows services > Technical Services

Windows Service offering, Linux service offering >Technical service offering

Linux Server Prod, Linux Server Dev > Application services 

Can anyone please help me with example that gives easy understanding for user's who are not technical to infra / cmdb side? Would appreciate if somebody gives some one help me in putting some examples related Healthcare industry that would great.

Hello!  I always find that visuals help to explain the CSDM concepts.  I have attached a healthcare specific example provided by ServiceNow during one of their webinars I was able to capture maybe a year or two ago.

I think these example series have been great.  One suggestion. 

Pick some very simple examples like a .NET custom application with a dev, test, prod environments, hosted on on-premise windows servers.  

Provide the conceptual overview of objects and relationships to be created

then step people through creating the business application, the application services, the application CI's, the server CI's and the relationships. 

I think going through some simple examples like this starting with the design using the CSDM diagram perspective, then stepping in to a real tangible example doing the full thing in ServiceNow would be great.

The example series videos are great but i think there is an aspect of the examples missing.  How you physically build out these models in ServiceNow.  What are the concrete how to steps of building out those example models in ServiceNow.

• Here is how you add the business application
• Here is how you add the CI's
• Here is how you map the dependencies between CI's 
• Here is how you map the dependencies between application services and the CI's
• Here is how you map the application service dependencies to each other
• Here is how you map the business application to the associated application services
• Here is the recommended practice and order to do these things. 

The actual how-to do this step through is missing on some of these examples.  It would be overkill to do it on all of them but at least one or two that can be references in the video would be extremely helpful.
