Technical Management Services vs Business Services.

They have different SERVICE CLASSIFICATION, do you also differentiate their CLASS?

When looking at the CSDM framework, ServiceNow uses the exact same underlying table (cmdb_ci_service) for both Business and Technical Services, meaning they share the same CI class.
Instead of creating separate database tables for each, ServiceNow relies entirely on the service_classification field to tell them apart and drive their unique roles in your environment. This keeps the backend architecture clean and ensures seamless integration with out-of-the-box features like Digital Portfolio Management—so you get all the operational distinctions you need without the headache of custom tables breaking future upgrades.
