Why is Hardware mentioned as an explanation to Platform Host in the Business Application form?

In the Business Application form in Architecture Type Platform Host is mandatory when choosing Platform Application, but why is Hardware mentioned in the explanation? The list of values is fetched from the business application table where architecture type is Platform Host. Hardware is not entered in the BA form..?

Hi @nilssonim

The Platform Host field is a reference to Business Application, which obviously refers to software only. It is not hardware, so this is probably a mistake in the documentation. In this context, Host does not mean the infrastructure that the application is installed on as at the Business Application level we are talking about the "design' lens. That data is stored in the Service Instance layer, each of which represents a deployment of the Business Application.

I hope this helps!

Thanks! I suspected that it was a mistake in the documentation but I wanted to be sure that I hadn't missed or misunderstood something.
