Together with Rob Koeten I am releasing the CSDM 5 Information Management Implementation Guide (v1.0)—a comprehensive guide for information governance, data lineage, and compliance automation across the enterprise using the ServiceNow AI Platform.
Why this matters:
The world is changing fast, and the introduction of AI and new legislations regulating AI and Cloud demands stronger control of your digital information. In this guide we seek to assist you in the following:
- Map information flows across systems for regulatory proof points
- Prepare the ground for automating data classification and governance enforcement
- Establish information ownership and accountability frameworks
- Track data lineage for impact analysis and incident response
- Apply information assets and information object (types) to your provide a context for your CIs
- Integrate privacy, security, and operational resilience controls
Whether you're managing ISMS compliance, preparing for audits, or operationalizing enterprise data governance, this guide bridges the gap between policy and platform.

Thanks.
I am interested in the link from the Information object to the 'actual' instantiation of it. You have it up there with a relationship to the Database instance, in the doc you have it also the service instance and the DB. I am interested in your thoughts on how the physical and logical representations should occur.
In an organisation where were not allowed to have information classification object in certain locations, we needed to have links to actual service instances - our non-prods might have had de-identified versions of those objects which was allowed in 'public cloud' locations, but prod with restricted data was not. We also needed it for access control and auditing purposes of those information objects.
