I am looking for help to understand on how course and ServiceNow release version works ( w.r.t exam perspective and PDI). I recently passed CSA, based on, on-demand course SNAF (Xanadu) but moment I had completed the course and before the exam, Zurich version on-demand course was available. Now I am taking CIS- Data Foundations (CMDB and CSDM) path. I see ServiceNow Platform Implementation (Zurich) on-demand course and ServiceNow Platform Implementation (Yokohama) course. Apparently Yokohama course is showing as 'new'(in pink) compare to Zurich (which is latest release version of SNOW). I need to understand which is latest out of these two (previously mentioned) on-demand course for doing CIS- data foundations( CMDB and CSDM), and how will it impact while practicing and on exam. My understanding says Zurich one is latest but I am getting when I see future courses for the path CIS-DF(CMDB-CSDM), one of which is CMDB Fundamentals , has mention of Configure the CMDB Micro certification Simulator (Yokohama) as course outline/syllabus. This is creating confusion for me.
If any of you have recently worked through it , please guide.
Much appreciated!
Cheers!

Hi @rdsmokha
TLDR: yes, it's confusing, but don't worry about it, just take the most recent course that's available.
In the ideal world, all courses would be updated to the latest GA release (i.e., as of today: Zurich). But ServiceNow doesn't have the resources to do update everything all at once, so that's why some courses are one or two releases behind.
That's not much of a problem, because in reality, the platform doesn't change too much between release. E.g. the principles of Platform Implementation aren't going to change much from Xanadu to Zurich.
Because there's often not much change, some courses aren't updated with every release, and the CMDB micro-cert simulator is an example. ServiceNow must have decided it's not worth updating it for Zurich. But it's possible they'll bring out a new Australia version later this year.
So, all you need to do is take the most recent version, and you'll be fine. BTW, the reason for having more than one version available is that some people have already started one version when a newer one is released, so the old one stays available to give them time to finish it (otherwise they would have to start from the beginning again).
Re the 'new' label on Yokohama version of Platform Implementation - I'm pretty sure that's just a mistake - someone has forgotten to take it off.
I hope that helps, and puts your mind at ease. Happy studying!
