Hi @Gaurav99

New button on Incident caused by change related list opens a incident new record. Why is interceptor needed. Can you please explain the requirement?

in the incident fixed by change related list we have new button. I creates a new change record and attaches to the incident. But as it opens a new change record does not allow users the type of change they want to create. So the requirement is when user clicks on new button an interceptor page where they can select the type of change and create a new chagne of whatever type they want. How can we achieve this?

Hi

New button on incident fixed by change related list opens incident record not change record

If you want to enable change interceptor for new button

Navigate to Now experience framework -> Related list action

Deactivate below action

Can you please tell us exactly what it is you are looking for? Your screenshot shows the related list of 'Incidents caused by change' and in your response to Shruti you mention 'Incidents fixed by change'.

First of all: it's weird to have a 'new' button here, since incidents fixed by changes were created before/during the change (they are fixed by the change, so creating a new one is strange) and to first go to the change and from there create an incident caused by change is also not the normal procedure, but could make sense if someone calls about something and the agent answering the phone already knows it's caused by that changed.

Your question about the intercepter doesn't make sense on either of these related lists, since you are always creating an incident when you are on a relates list that relates to the incident table. This will never create a change. Since you original question and response both talk about you wanting to create a new change from an existing one: on which related list are you actually trying to do that?
