I am looking to consolidate information concerning vendors/suppliers into a central repository. Is it possible to add searchable fields to the vendor/company record? For vendor governance we categorize vendors into 5 basic groups. It would be helpful to be able to sort vendors by that field. Additionally I would like to have a field for annual spend, again searchable, where I could group vendors by spend, i.e. <$10M, $1M to $10M, $500K to $1M, etc. I think I have a handle on adding multiple company contacts for escalation. It seems they could be entered in the company record as users. What I am not sure of is alignment with the appropriate executives within our organization. Ultimately what I would like is to identify the Senior Executive, Division Executive, and Account Executive on the vendor side and align them with the corresponding internal executive. I would also like to be able to identify the internal LOB owner and category manager for each vendor.

Hi,
For the 5 basic groups of vendors, as well as the vendor spend, I advise creating new choice fields.
You can then set the choices and search/filter on these.
