Hi All,
Requirement Description:
I came across an interesting requirement to search records from a custom extended CSM Case table by Short Description in the Global Search and resultant CSM case will appear CSM/FSM Configurable Workspace.
I couldn’t find a complete explanation of the configuration anywhere. So, I documented my findings and the key concepts involved.
In order to achieve the above requirement , follow the below steps.
1. Plugin Activation:- Please activate the "sn_uib_lookup" plugin , if its activated please update the latest version. Attached screenshot as your references.
2. AI Search Profile:- Create AI Search profile for custom extended table.Attached screenshot as your references.
AI Search Profiles -> Go to "[CSM AIS] Configurable Workspace Search Config" -> Select "Create and Link"
-> Add custom extended table.
Open the custom table record and attached index sources.
3. Indexed Sources:-
Add field mapping for search for short description, description and add custom table etc. Attached screenshot as your references.
4. Field Mapping & Indexing :- Also important to click "Index All Tables" to reflect the changes.
Expected Output :-
After configuration, Once indexing done suggestion will be displayed for the custom extended table. Attached screenshot for your reference.
Finally, we will be able to search for cases using the Short Description and Description fields from the CSM/FSM Configurable Workspace.
Please mark helpful & correct answer if its worthy for you.

Thanks for sharing this! This is really useful and well explained. I’ll definitely use this as a reference when setting up global search for any table. Did you run into any issues or things to watch out for while configuring this?
