Catalog item's variable values cleared out after submitting

Hi All,

There's an issue with the catalog variable which is mandatory.  the variable field is submitted with values as it a mandatory field. After submission the values are being cleared out .

How to fix this?

The below variable was filled out. After submitting the values are not been displayed.

Did you ever solve this issue? we are experiencing the same exact issue. Before ANYONE asks: we DO NOT have ANY UI policies that would clear these variables.
