Hi,
Is it possible to change the background colors of active (White) & inactive (Grey) tabs in CSM/FSM Configurable Workspace without creating a new theme? We are using Polaris theme currently and don't want to create a new theme.

No, unfortunately it is not possible. Themes have been built to satisfy exact such requirements and thus are the recommended way .

Unfortunately No, Like Maik and Prashant PK said. With Next Experience and Polaris Theme is preferred way, you either create yours custom or copy and override the polaris theme.
