Is the on demand course for Customer Service Management (CSM) Essentials (Zurich) , purely based on the ebook and there are no learning videos or materials like for Xanadu ?

Sorry, are you saying there are no modules under it as I can only see the headers - and as soon as you click them it says completed. I am presuming because there is a explicit part that says open your ebook, the course has to be done on as per the ebook rather than the module and the ebook (xanadu, yokohama etc)

you can clearly see a difference - Has Servicenow University decided that it is better to just refer to the ebook only ?
