Hi Team,

"Error seen in system logs - "Explicit Roles : External criteria sysID is null: no thrown error".

Can someone please advise why the error message is coming and how can we fix it.

A quick search on the wiki maybe points to this?

Explicit Roles in CSM

Hi,

This appears to be related to CSM, see explicit roles here: https://docs.servicenow.com/bundle/london-platform-administration/page/administer/contextual-securit...

Looks like it's looking for the role snc_external, possible. Please check your roles on your instance and ensure you have that role.

If not, I would try and export via xml that role from another instance and import it in to see if that resolves your issue.

Hi Allen,

The user has already snc_external role and still we are getting the error.

In the system log, the source of the error is "com.glide.ui.ServletErrorListener".

Any idea how to fix this issue?

You can debug further by going to source of this error log.

Please pull source column in system log table to find out source of this error.

Also, this is an known issue with workaround mentioned below
