How to add e-signature to record producer as variable while submitting form

Hi All , I have the below enhancement request.

Currently internal employee submits the annual renewal letter as an attachment while submitting the Record producer on the service portal which eventually create a case with the attachment.

We want to add esign to the form. As anyone done anything similar to this, and any thoughts on  how do I go about this?

My thought process to fulfill this requirement was similar to the HR esign, that is when the Record is producer is submitted on the service portal. Case would be created, once the case is created, wanted to trigger the case task .where they can digitally fill and sign the form. Once submitted it would update the case similar to HR task but it didn’t work, The case task isn’t getting updated.

Assuming you are showing the record producer through portal. Create a custom version of widgets that use the oob e-signature pad and require a signature prior to submission, so it should work, but you'd probably have to create a custom version of the widget that shows the RP and add some logic that that widget is used for those cases.

Not sure if "public" will be another issue, but again, in theory, that's only a question of modifying the required ACLs.

So overall I'd say it should be doable, but it has a lot of custom.
