How to make CSM agent workspace responsive for different size browsers and monitors?

Hi,

I'm configuring CSM agent workspace for customer. For some reason the workspace I'v created is not responsive. Meaning the page won't dynamically scale to different sized browsers and monitors. Also any configuring options under components are missing in UI builder related to this workspace (should there be some tool to make page responsive?).

I think there's no CSS code added what would break responsively in page. For example width value is inserted in percentages (not in pixels) in CSS, so page would be responsive when monitor or browser size changes.

Seems like in SN development test instance, Agent Workspace page is responsive as OOB. Also components configuring tools are available in test instance, but not in my customer's instance.

Is there some tool in UI builder I could use to make my Workspace responsive? How I cant get component configuring options available in UI builder?

I think I'v made a mistake somewhere that has broke the page responsive. Any ideas what?

Please see the pictures attached, they tell more than my words.

Best,
Miikka Martikainen

Very late answer, but there waas some strange things in CSS and fixed this by roll back to OOB.

Hi,

In the Rome release a container doesn't have a configuration. This comes with San Diego. Could you please check the section "layout"? In an OOTB instance I found a predefined CSS with width setting. Maybe you can try that out.

find_real_file.pngHope that helps. That is a screenshot from an instance on Rome.

Hi,

Thanks for answer. Unfortunately that "width: 100%;" didn't help. But I got some of my containers reponsive, when I modified contents structure from ui builder. I'll update if I find solution for this.

Best,
Miikka

Actually my test instance is also in Rome and there is that configuration option in containers, but not in my customer instance which is also working on Rome build. Weird. Any ideas why?

I don't have no other idea about that, maybe an upgrade to a new release would help. But I also know, that this sometimes can take time.

My last idea is, that you may have another object/container on a higher level, that is overwriting your CSS setting. Unfortunately I don't know, how the settings are working. Is the lowest level or highest level winning. If that is also not helping, I would create a HI ticket.
