Reference field's "i" icon not working in Configurable Workspace

Over an OOTB Configurable Workspace "CSM/FSM Configurable Workspace App Config", the Reference field's "i" icon is not working i.e. on click of this icon it doesn't opens a reference record. Per the observation, this reference icon is not working primarily for CSM Case table or the table extending CSM Case where for a few other tables it does work on this workspace. 

Does anyone having any idea on how to fix this issue from an OOTB Configurable workspace?

Any help is really appreciated.

I am looking for the same,  able to search the value from field but when clicking on magnifying glass it is not working.

I had a similar problem with the reference search on fields in CSM Workspace. Maybe it is the same issue here for you, but for the "Open Record" Action Assignment instead. Basically a UX add-on Event Mapping was missing [sys_ux_addon_event_mapping].

Here is a link to my answer in another thread, but you should look for Action Assignment "Open Record" instead of "Search for Record", and the Event mapping name "Reference Info Click" instead of "Record Page Tabs Reference Search":
