Remove "snc_read_only" in the group

Hi Community,
Here one of the user is not able to see the submit button in customer portal while submitting the requests. The user belongs to one of the X group in that group the roles are itil , snc_read_only and customer agent . As snc_read_only role is there it's restricting the user to see submit button. My client requirement is he should not get removed from the X group but it should allow the users in this group to submit the requests. Here the user who can't able to see submit button he is only member in the X group . So, what could be the best practice to follow here. Can anyone please suggest me

are you sure because of that role the button is not visible?
Did you try removing that role and confirm?
If that group has that role then you can delete that role from sys_user_has_role table and see if that works after removing.
