Unable to make a field mandatory on a case form

Hi,
Unable to set the "system" field mandatory. The mandatory field accessed via form design is set to read only. Checked ui policy, client script, acl and business rule but field how this field was set to read only. please help
attempted to set the field here but no luck

your screenshots are confusing.
your 3rd screenshot says label different than the 2nd one
if you are working on some table which extends the Sold Product and there you are trying to make it mandatory and are unable to do so
Then check if any dictionary override is making it read-only for your table

From Screenshot I understand that you have a "Dictionary Override". Go to the dictionary override related list and open the record for the table you are configuring.
You can Check / Un Check the Mandatory Check box there.
If you want this not to be overridden and follow the parent, then uncheck the "Override Mandatory" Checkbox

This is strange on both records dictionary entry records sold_product and parent_sold_product in the related list it show that the tab is added. but when i look at the form the dictionary override tab is not there. What am i missing here?

are you in the correct form view (Advanced) to see the related list?
Did someone add some logic to hide that related list on Dictionary form?
