The ServiceNow Zurich release introduces game-changing features for mobile developers and admins. With a renewed focus on AI, multimodal inputs, and simplified setup, the mobile platform is more powerful and intuitive than ever.
Now Assist Gets a Mobile Upgrade
Users can now interact with Now Assist on mobile through a conversational chat interface. Ask a question, describe an issue, or submit a request—no more navigating deep menus or filling complex forms. Now Assist even supports AI agents that complete tasks step-by-step for you.
Admins, you're not left out. You can enable Now Assist in just a few clicks using Guided Setup. It's the same assistant across mobile and web, so there's feature parity without extra work.
Multimodal Capabilities: Beyond Text
The Zurich release adds support for image and document inputs in chat. Imagine snapping a photo of a broken machine and getting AI-recommended fixes. Or uploading a document and having a Q&A session right from your phone. It's all possible now.
Coming in Q4, the platform takes it even further—using images to auto-fill forms, enhancing productivity in ways that truly feel futuristic.
AI-Powered Search That Gets Smarter
Traditional search is getting an overhaul. With Now Assist integrated into search, users get direct answers with actionable steps, plus the ability to launch into chat if more help is needed. It’s contextual, intelligent, and efficient.
Mobile SDK: Now for Everyone
Previously limited, the Mobile SDK is now accessible to anyone with a ServiceNow Enterprise license. You can now embed ServiceNow data and experiences into your own mobile apps—think push notifications, integrated chat, KPIs, and custom experiences. And with developer guides and a sample app available, getting started is simple.
What’s Next?
Q4 will bring persistent chat buttons, voice-to-text input, and org chart support in mobile chat. These enhancements continue to raise the bar for what's possible in mobile enterprise development.
Whether you're an experienced ServiceNow mobile developer or just exploring the SDK, Zurich is the release you don’t want to miss.
