The Devvies contest welcomes developers of all skill levels, and the criteria used to select finalists is based on the responses in your application. If you have any questions, visit our FAQs page.  

Judging Criteria for The Devvies 2024 is as follows: 

Grand Prize: App of the Year 🏆

1. Business Impact (30%): What impact did your app have on your organization or your customer’s organization in terms of time saved, money saved, and customer/employee satisfaction? 
2. Innovation (30%): Did your app introduce a unique approach to achieve a business objective? 
3. Scale (20%): What is the user base of your app? 
4. Richness (20%): How many developer features did you utilize? 

Special Category: People’s Choice Award 🌟

The Devvies 2024 is introducing an exciting new award category: The People's Choice Award. Unlike the App of the Year category where winners are picked from the finalist pool by a select panel of judges, this award places the power directly in the hands of our vibrant ServiceNow Community. Finalists for this category will be determined by November 10th, 2023. 

From there, here's how it's going to work: 

1. Showcasing Finalists: The finalists chosen for the "App of the Year" will be showcased on ServiceNow Community. Each finalist's application will be highlighted, providing a brief overview and its notable features along with created finalist pitch videos. Confidentiality concerns or questions about sharing your app on Community? Concerned about confidentiality or unsure about sharing your app within the ServiceNow Community? Rest assured, by checking our FAQs, you can find out how to still qualify for the award.  
2. Community Engagement: ServiceNow Community members will then have the opportunity to engage, discuss, and ultimately vote for their favorite application among the finalists. 
3. Transparent Voting: The application that garners the most community votes by the end of the voting period will secure the "People's Choice Award," celebrating the app that most resonated with our broader user base. It’s important to note that one submission cannot win both “App of the Year” and the “People’s Choice Award”. While we celebrate outstanding applications, we also aim for diverse recognition. Should a single application win both 'App of the Year' and 'People's Choice Award', we'll award the next highest-voted contender the 'People’s Choice Award'.
