Add records to a related list in the portal, is it possible?

In the CMS you can just hit edit on a related list and add records to the list via a slush bucket.

This then creates the relationship I need for the songs to only relate to that particular gig for the evening. 

In the portal I cannot work out how to provide the option to add a record to the related list the same way. 

I have read that slush buckets are not the go, to use a list collector to add to the related list. 

I am just unsure how to do this. 

IS there a way to add records to a related list in the portal? 

Any ideas would be welcome.

I have already looked into the related list widget, the issue I have is there is nowhere on that widget to add more records to that related list within the form there. 

Are you suggesting adding an edit button to the widget to allow the end user to add songs to the related list?
