I have a new field called, "Manager" that should not be editable
This new field will reference to the current manager of the current "Assigned group" that is on the Incident
Question one,
How of I create a new field for an incident form? Do I need to create a new form and then configure the form accordingly? or should I do something else?
Now, where should I go so I have an option of Dot Walking on a field of a form?

Hi Archit,
What is the excat use case? If it is for just displaying field on the form and as you mentioned is it required to be non-editable then you can simply dot-walk to get the field.
You need to right click form header & then Configure >> Form Layout
You need to look for Assigned To in the Available pane and click on the icon as below to access dot-walked fields and then move the manager field to the Selected pane and save.

Hello @Archit10,
In the secnario you explained, you can just create one more field on Incident form and you can configure it accordingly. For example you can keep it read only in so that it's not editable and the second fucntionality is achievable using client script.
Hope it helps, Thank you!

Hi @Archit10
What is use case of new filed. Also creating field is customization and chargeable too. What exactly you want to achieve is more important.
