Adding Categories and Subcategories to Task Table

Good Afternoon,

 

Happy Friday! After getting assistance from this forum, I wanted to reach out and ask a follow up question. Currently looking to add rows to a Task table that shows both categories and subcategories for Incidents and Request. While finding this can be done for an incident table, there isn't one Out of box for a Task Table. Is anyone know if it's possible to add this entry or would one need to be created it from scratch. Any assistance would be appreciated!

OOTB, the categories and subcategories are available on the Incident table. If you want to bring them to the Task table, you would need to create them from scratch.

May I ask, what is the need or business case for bringing the category/subcategory to the Task table? Understanding the use case could help clarify the necessity of this customization.
