Hi all,
I previously asked about the ability to add funnel filters to the Contextual Search, turns out it is not possible.
What I want to do now is to simply add more options to the dropdown for the Contextual Search:
This is from a Washington PDI, the instance I work in has much fewer options (the first four). Curious enough, when I open the Searcher in the PDI it shows only 3 related Search Resources: the first four minus the one that says "All", just as in my work instance. So where are the other ones configured, and how can I configure more? There is no button to add new Search Resources, in fact this whole module is quite hard to understand.
What we would like to do is to add filters for Audience and Knowledge base, maybe even in combination.
Best regards,
Kim

I believe this is under "Additional Resources" under the Contextual Search menu. At least the results in my PDI seem to be similar to your screenshot.

Thank you Dave, I will accept your response as solution because it answers the basic question. However, we still cannot add new rows to the Additional Resources table so the problem still stands. Also, all of the "Additional resources" are actually active but still not visible in the Contextual Search. Will likely have to raise a support ticket about this...
Regards,
Kim

Thanks for confirming the correct table. Looking at the access controls for that table, I believe you would need ServiceNow support as it requires the maint role to create/write records on that table.

I can finally add that ServiceNow replied to my support case that it is not possible to add more options to the Contextual Search dropdown. It seems ultimately that Contextual Search is an incredibly underpowered feature that makes it really difficult for some organizations to do their work in ServiceNow, which is a shame really.
