Advanced Work Assignment: unable to associate group with assignment rule

We are trying to use Advanced Work Assignment to set up our assignment rules however, we happen to have run into a snag regarding setting up the rules:

We were hoping that we would be able to assign to a group however, we don't see any option to do this in this form.  However, we notice that the Assignment API field is read-only, I was told that this field is what I need to proceed with associating this assignment rule with a group.  Any idea what I need to do to have this field editable?  Or if this is supposed to be by design, how am I supposed to associate the rule with an assignment group?

If I remember correctly, you need to go to the skill handling tab, enable skills, and then assign skills to groups.

Your other option is to manage the allocation based on queues, where there's a 1:1 logic for assignment group and queue

Hello @tahnalos,
To add the assignment rule to an assignment group you need to create Assignment Eligibility.

Create this record, you can find the path as:
Service Channels > Queues > Assignment Eligibility.

You can add multiple assignment groups over here and add the assignment rule which you want to apply.
Let me know if this helped you.

Thanks,

Sakshi

Hi @tahnalos
Foolow the below steps to associate group with the assignment rule.

1. Open the Service channel:

Thanks for the info.  I had also read somewhere that you can assign a specific subset of the group to be auto assigned.  Is this related to skills, or is this another function?
