Allow can contribute users to publish/retire articles across the KB

Hi Team ,

We got a requirement to allow 'can contribute' user criteria people to edit all the articles belongs to that KB in draft state and allow them to publish and retire as well. I assume there is no oob feature which will allow us to do that right.
Can this be advisable to allow them to edit all the draft articles or only the author should do that?
Any input on this would be much appreciated.

Hi ,

Refer to these links. This should help you understand about knowledge articles better. It also has steps on how to create an article.

We need to allow can contributors to edit any draft article within their knowledge base.
How can we achieve that?

Ideally speaking, can contribute means can create a knowledge article in this knowledge base. So they should not edit knowledge articles of other authors.

And as far as publishing and retiring is concerned, it should be subjected to approval of Owner and managers of the Knowledge Base.

The above mentioned points are how Knowledge Base should be handled. Rest lies in what the customer requirement is. If you managed to convince them of the best practice, well and good.
