If the field is disabled, why are you trying to paste in it? I don't think this would be a Firefox specific issue for you.

No, my customer want to copy the read-only field into another form not the same form.

So I'm sorry. I don't understand, a user was trying to copy a read only field but needs a script to do it? I can copy and paste from read only fields all day, my mouse looks like a no circle with a line through it but I can still do it. What is the script needed for?

We have the same behavior in Chrome. Our security team stated "...its tied to disabling javascript in a copy".
