Assignment Action opens both Workspace tab and UI16 browser tab when creating a new record

Hi everyone,

I'm working on an Assignment Action in  Asset Workspace  on a field decorator and I'm trying to open a new record when the action is clicked.

I'm using the following client script:

function onClick() {
     g_aw.openRecord('core_company', '-1');
}

The record opens successfully, but the behavior is not what I expect:

• A new tab is opened inside the Workspace ✅
• A new browser tab is also opened in classic UI16 ❌

   

My goal is to open the record only in the Workspace tab and prevent the UI16 browser tab from being created.

Has anyone encountered this issue or found a way to open a new record exclusively within Workspace?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
