Assignment Rules and child tables

I'm looking to configure automatic Assignment Rules for cases. The cases are created on child tables of HR Case. Can I create my Assignment Rule only on the parent (HR Case) table or must I create a rule on each child table?

It's looking like I have to create it on each COE (child table). Just want to get confirmation that this is the case.

Your assumption is correct ideally you should be creating the Assignment rules at the COE level.
