auto generate names matching content on the name field

I have a requirement to configure the name field so that I can enter any part of the persons name then the drop down should start displaying names matching contents entered.

For example, an individual name is Samsung, and I don't know that but am aware their name has sung in it. If I enter sung, I did like for all names that contain sung to display on the dropdown 

Currently; the workaround is to enter the wild card(*) followed by sung. This achieved the desired function but my users don't know this as it is not ideal

is this a possible ask, if so, how do I get it done
