Best practice for catalog creation/ updation

I want to know the use cases when a new catalog should be created and when a new category should be created within the OOB Service catalog? What difference is there and is there and costing difference for the same. Kindly share the best practices.

Hi @NihSri 

 

The creation of new catalog is depend on use case

 or i can say when we cant use same catalog for 2 different purpose. Take a example

 

In a hotel , we got menu , like 1 for Drinks  1 for meal and 1 for starter.

 

In this case mixing drink and meal and 1 is not a good use case, bcz may be a user just intrested in meal but in drinks.

 

But we can club Starter and Meal menu in 1 as, 1 catalog can be used for small or full meal. 

 

So it is totally depend.

 

More catalog more maintenance and more cost but may provide a  good user experience. 

 

 

If required we can connect 1-1 , as there will be much writing.
