Any Lead ??
Why I am asking this because
We operate a fairly complex network environment centralized in a single main location. Within our IP Address Management system (InfoBlox), most of our networks are configured as /16 blocks. However, within each /16, we have over 20 smaller subnets, typically in the /24, /26, and /27 range.
I'm currently evaluating the best practices for managing IP ranges in such an environmentāparticularly in terms of discovery and ongoing management.
Would it be more efficient to create an IP Range Set and then manually break down each /16 into its respective subnets (i.e., creating 20+ individual IP ranges per /16)? Or is there a better, more scalable approach for organizing and managing these ranges in a way that supports automated discovery and clean administration?
