We will be having external users using the system temporarily. It has been requested that they only have access to their own tickets and the tickets for their assignment groups.
Can I use Data Filtration to achieve this?
I was experimenting with the filters but the test user ultimately couldn't see any records at all.
I don't really want to modify the ACL's for a temporary situation. If a data filter can't work then would a BR be the best solution?

Hi there @MBarrott
I guess,v Yes, you can use Data Filtration to limit users to only see their tickets and their group's tickets.
make sure your data filter conditions are correctly set to include records where the user is either the ticket owner or part of the assignment group.
- For example, a filter condition like `Assigned to is (dynamic) Me` or `Assignment Group is (dynamic) My Groups`.
also Double-check your user criteria to make sure it accurately reflects the users' permissions.
If the data filter is not working as you expected and the user can't see any records, it's likely due to incorrect filter conditions or user criteria.
a BR could be an alternative here:
- Create a BR to dynamically set the visibility of tickets based on the user and their group membership.
If this helps kindly accept the answer thanks much
