Hi Community,
I am creating a topic for a taxonomy. Client's requirements are to add both the relevant catalog category content and also the knowledge category content to the very same topic. Is this possible at all? I did not find anything related to adding both to a same topic in the documentation.
I added the catalog category content, but when trying to add the knowledge category, it does not appear in the list view (only the catalog items do appear).

Yes you can add catalog categories and knowledge categories. When you add it, it actually runs a job in the background to add it to the connected content. It could take a minute or two if there are a lot of KB articles.
You'll see a message like this.
Did you get that message? Also make sure that the category that you added actually has KB articles in it.

Hey Mike, sure I saw the message, and waited for more than 20mins. I tried it repeatedly. There are only around 9 KB articles, so I shouldn't take long. But they weren't added to any of those topics where there are already catalog items added.

I see. It definitely shouldn't take that long. I just tested in my PDI and it's working fine. I was able to add Knowledge content to a topic that already had Catalog Items added.
This might be a silly question, but are those 9 KB articles in a Published state?

Hey Mike,
I actually found out why it didn't work.
To my surprise, if I added the collections with 'knowledge base: xxx' to the slushbucket, they were not added to the related list, I mean such ones:
It is the collections with 'knowledge category: xxx' that need to be added and then the articles with such category correctly appeared in the related list. 🙂
