Cannot Get Breakdown to show as an option in Followed Breakdown PA Automated Indicator Widget

 

Hi Team,

I would really appreciate your help/guidance/advice, as I cannot understand what the issue is or what I am doing wrong.

 

I am trying to configure an Automated Indicator Widget for 'Number of Open Incidents', so that it follows a breakdown = Assignment Group.

 

When I select from the 'Breakdown' field, I am able to select 'Assignment Group' as a breakdown. (see first screenshot).

 

However when I select from the 'Followed Breakdown' field, it does not give me the option to select 'Assignment Group', it just doesn't come up as an option to choose, as do the others in the list (see second screenshot).

 

What do I need to do to allow this 'Assignment Group' Breakdown to show as an option in the 'Followed Breakdown' field so that I can get this indicator to follow this breakdown?

Yes, you set up the breakdowns needed for the indicator record. The widget will display the visualization of what's set up on the indicator. Refer to an OOTB widget when configuring & see below. This is an example of an Automated Indicator.

 

The widget contains the Indicator, which contains Breakdowns.

Hello,

 

Is the expected behavior that a user clicks an Assignment Group and the widget filters to that group?

 

If so, leave both 'Breakdown' and 'Followed breakdown' fields empty and simply add the widget and breakdown source to a dashboard. As long as you have the 'Follow element' selected, your widget will filter based on the breakdown option selected.

Hi. The problem is, this approach does not work with Performance Analytics Automated Indicators.

In the ServiceNow documentation, it says for PA Indicators in a Widget, one has to configure the Breakdowns to follow the breakdown in order to filter the PA Indicator for the Breakdown - in this case, the Assignment Group.
