I’m having an issue where every time I do “Apply remote changes” from Studio I cannot select an application other than “Global” via the application picker until I get an admin to reload my user record from an XML export.
I’m assuming that something gets hosed in a table somewhere, but I cannot find it.
Symptoms are that I select a new Application and next page load it goes back to “Global” via the application picker.
Also, when I do select a new application (before the page reload/reset) I only see Global update sets in the update set picker (it does not change the list to my app that I select).
Anyone have a fix other than chasing down an admin to reload my user account?

Hi Mike,
After applying remote changes the default update set for your application can go missing and as every application requires a default update set ServiceNow won't let you switch to that app.
Try the steps below after applying remote changes:
- Select 'Global' from the application picker.
- Open the current in progress 'Default' update set for the Global application.
- Mark the update set as 'Complete' and save the record. This will cause a new update set in global scope to be created.
- Now switch to your application using the application picker and the default update set for your app will get created automatically.
Hopefully the issue gets fixed in a future update.
Let me know if this works for you or not.
Thanks,
Dan
