Catalog item should be visible only on browse but not under any category

Hello All, We have a Catalog item which needs to be:-Not part of any category and should only reflect on search on portal.

Could you please help how to achieve it.

Any suggestions will highly be appreciable.

If you remove/unlink the category from catalog item. Try removing category and see if it is available in search.

Can you expand on the use case a bit more, as in why this is a requirement?  As you've seen, only items that are in a Catalog/Category can be found in a search.
