Hi Team,
While navigating to the Configure Dictionary of the Category table in CMDB Classes within the PDI, the format under the Default Value field appears as shown in the attached image.
Could you please advise how to modify this to match the format shown in the below image? Specifically, I need to include the "Use dynamic default" checkbox and set a dynamic default value.
Thank you!

Hi @JulietD ,
Change view to Advanced view instead default,
If the Dynamic Default field is not visible:
Right Click on the Additional actions menu (three dots in the top-right corner of the form).
Select Configure > Form Layout.
Move the Use Dynamic Default field from the available fields to the form fields.
Add the field to the form view at dictionary level so you can Use dynamic default" checkbox and set a dynamic default value.
If my response helped, please mark it as the accepted solution ✅ and give a thumbs up👍.
Thanks,
Anand

Hi @JulietD ,
1. Navigate to the Dictionary Entry:
Go to System Definition > Dictionary.
Search for the required field (Category) in the table (e.g., cmdb_ci) and open its dictionary entry.
2. Switch to Advanced View:
In the dictionary entry form, click on hamburger icon View—Advanced View If still not visible do below
3. Configure Form Layout:
Right-click on the Additional Actions menu (three dots in the top-right corner).
Select Configure > Form Layout.
—-Add the Use Dynamic Default Field
In the Form Layout screen, locate the Dynamic Default field in the Available Fields section.
—Move it to the Selected Fields section and click Save.
If my response helped, please mark it as the accepted solution ✅ and give a thumbs up👍.
