Change any field's backend name

Hi All / @Mohith Devatte ,

I want to change fields backend name of any custom field on a table. say backend name is u_currency but i want u_basecurrency. How can we change it ? Please guide me.

What is the business requirement to change the column name/ back-end name for your custom table?

I would not suggest changing the column name. Might be used like scripts, API call etc.Instead of that you can just change the label or create a new field for your purpose.

Hi,

I think That is not possible to change the backend name of the field instead on that you can change the User display as Label.

Hi,

Once you have created the field you cannot change the name of the field but you can always change the field label but not the field name.
