Hi All
I have searched online, but can't find any way of doing this without scripting (which I don't have access to). On a visual task board I was hoping to do one of the following:
a) show a coloured dot on the card based on the value of a custom field (RAG Status)
b) in some way format the card to show the current value of the RAG status field on the board whilst still having Swimlanes (so using compact cards)
failing either of the above
c) to change the default set of labels for the VTBs to be what I want rather than the default set of:
Defect, High Priority, Feature, Idea, Request, Story, Low Priority
NOTE: This list actually doesn't make any sense to me. If it was a Feature, Request or Story, it would have been raised as a feature, request or story task, the priority would be set by the task priority - so why would I want to store the same information somewhere else?
I would like the list to be
Red, Red/Amber, Amber, Amber/ Green, Green for all future VTBs that relate to 'Releases'
I would be surprised to hear this isn't configurable in the GUI somewhere.
Thanks
Ben

This can be done in a VTB click the 'Labels' button this will show you the Label list as below:
Now to change the Label name simple click on the text and edit it e.g.
Your custom labels will now be available for use:
You can also change the color of any label simply by clicking on it's colored circle and selecting the desired color:
Please mark as Correct/Helpful if this helped

Thanks Paul, but I think this only changes it for the current board?
When I create a new VTB, it will only have the default set of labels and I will have to change them all every time. I can't check it at the moment because my PDI is dead and I'm waitlisted for a new one.
I am researching using VTBs for each of our application releases to monitor 'readiness' - if I have to change all the labels every time I create a new release, that's going to be a pain and probably make it unworkable.

You are correct, this will only change it for the current board... There is supposed to be a way to do this with a business rule, but i have tried multiple times and can't get it to work at all... not even close... if you want, i can give you the links to those discussions...
Also, instead of waiting on a new instance, you can opt for a lower version... tokyo for instance.. it is pretty immediate, then you can simply upgrade... this took me about 20 minutes to complete....instead of waiting on the UTAH to be available.. hope this helps

I finally have it working for myself... I can't remove the 7 default tags, but i can add as many as i want ...currently i have 12 default tags that will appear when a NEW visual Task board is created...
