Cloning Prod to Dev instance

We are planning for Upgrading Madrid to Orlando release? So, we will clone Prod instance on Dev instance

My question here is Once our Upgrade is Complete How can we start our development work on Dev instance again?

Like Some modules such as workflow editor, flow designer will not be there in apllication navigator of cloned Dev instance

Hi,

you should first upgrade DEV to Orlando and then do the Clone from Prod to Dev.

Then, on DEV enable again the modules disabled on PROD (workflow editor, flow designer, etc).

If I have answered your question, please mark my response as correct and/or helpful.

Thank you very much

My Advise would be as below,

1) Clone your Dev instance from PROD, because you want all the latest changes from PROD to be working in the Orlando Upgrade as expected.(Take backup of Dev as you already know)

2) If you wish to spend sometime in the Orlando upgrade and also planning to simulatenously do Development, i would advise you Clone some other Instance like Training/Dev2 with your Development Instance.

3) Now you can continue to work in this Training/Dev2 for your Development in Madrid and can move it to QA and PROD as well.

Ofcourse there are many other ways you could manage, Hope this approach helps!

Please Mark as ✅ Correct if this solves your issue and also mark ???? Helpful if it helps resolve your problem.

Thanks,
