What are the Pre-requisite to Implement CMDB in the organization.

What are the ways external ways that we can get data in to CMDB.

How to successfully implement CMDB for a client .

Is there any process or documentation related to this kindly share .

What are the Pre-requisite to Implement CMDB in the organization.

To talk about Pre-Req for cmdb (there is no 1 straight forward way to fill your cmdb), You need proper data sources which can populate cmdb, There are multiple ways like Discovery, import manual, datasource, integrations, etc.. You would need proper implementation of those moudule which would need to datasources, credentials etc... (based on type) This depends on client how the maintain their existing data of intra.. based on which you can decide how you can onboard their CMDB data in servicenow CMDB tables....

What are the ways external ways that we can get data in to CMDB:

Discovery.

Integrations.

Manual Import.

SQL & JDCB Connectors...

these are common ways data gets into cmdb...

How to successfully implement CMDB for a client:

Successfull implementation of CMDB can be measured in 3 ways CCC - correctness , completeness and compliance. 

You can navigate to servicenow module called '> "CMDB View" which will have dashboard to show how successfull and clear your data is.
