Hi all,

ServiceNow has this new function called sidebar to create dicussions between users about incidents, defects, requests,... But when i access to Conversation Interfaces > Settings > Sidebar > View Settings at Participants. I don't understand what is sidebar member query is and detail about fields in Create new query in that UI, Especially "Condition Table" and "User Query Condition". What those fields meaning ? I've read the documentation related to this table form (Sidebar member query) but the document doesn't state clear that how these field affect my query if i leave those fields blank or not.

Tera,

I have been doing some research and playing around with Sidebar as well. I found a helpful support article that I think may help you. I have put a link below:

https://support.servicenow.com/kb?id=kb_article_view&sys_kb_id=ac4f808f1bed2550b09633f2cd4bcb84

From what I am understanding the Condition table and condition table are where you configure what record conditions you want to be able to use the Sidebar functionality.

The user query conditions help narrow down what users are listed in the user search and can be added to a conversation.

The below screenshow from the support article may help:

This example below allows only the assignment group members to be added to Sidebar discussions for any active incidents whose assignment group is not empty.

I hope this helps!

Hi @David_Leake ,

Thank you for the wonderful and detailed description. I've marked your answer as solution for this post.

Many thanks !

Can I remove Priority field which is visible in the Rich message?

The view is quite difficult in current release unable to add advanced query to the user query. Do you know the table name for configuring sidebar member query?
