Could you please let me know how to create a button in the record producer using UI page or UI macro 

i need to create button in the Record producer.

Hi James,

1. I need to create a UI button called "QR code" in record Producer.

2. so when i click on that button i need to browse the image of the QR code or scan the QR code..

3. And the captured value from the QR code should be mapped to fields in the ServiceNow table.

Example : i have got serial number and model name from the QR code i need to map these two values in the ServiceNow table.

Not 100% sure what you are trying to do, but have you looked into creating a 'Custom' type variable?

It allows you to add widgets as a variable, below link has a few examples;

Thanks for the information , as the first step could you please let me know who to create a button in record producer using any of these methods ,ui page/ ui macro/ or widgets, 

As start to this point in designing i need UI button created on the record producer.

Please suggest.
