Create Child Requests

Hi ,

I have a scenario as below.Can anyone help me:

Scenario: When I create Request from Service Catalog I want to have child Request(Under Related Lists) generated to original Request on Insert.

The Parent and Child Request should have RITM.Parent Request will get RITM/Catalog Tasks generated from the workflow attached to Catalog Item. But how would Child Request should be created and how to generate RITM and Catalog tasks.Is there any approach for this?

Parent Request is to track any hardware /software item details with Catalog Tasks.

Child Request is to do the assessment for Parent Request with Assessment Tasks.

I don't see what value you're going to get by making one request child to another.   Why don't you just have multiple RITMs' under the REQ?

Hi Robert,

I have a requirement to create child requests for assessment purpose to be separated from original Parent Requests and RITMs'.As soon as Parent request is created it should have child request generated with child RITM's and Tasks and once child request is closed, Original Parent Request should start generating the Tasks under Parent RITM.
