Default Language in User Preferences

Our platform defaults to English as the language and users have to go in and manually change to set their default language.  Is there a way to set up a mapping to automate a new users default language based on certain fields in the user profile (for example location?).  Thanks!

I think yes it can be do able, via script or via lookup. But for this you need to make sure every location has a dedicated language ( as per your example)
