Hi,
We have both Laptop and Desktop within our Computer table. We have made use of a custom attribute created within Computer table to differentiate this as of today.
Now we have started using Hardware Asset Management Professional, and OOTB within Hardware Product table there is an attribute named "Device Type" which has identical values as Desktop Computer etc.
Can we leverage this Device type to differentiate between Laptop and Desktop? If so how can we have this relationship like how is it tied to a computer record?

Device type is a field from the model table (see here). You can and even should use it to differentiate - that's why it was added 🙂
Here you will find some more information about how assets are connected to the CIs. And here is some information about models.
You can assign a model to an asset and to a configuration item.

Hi @CezaryBasta ,
I am not able to see this attribute on my instance. I do have HAM Pro license.
Is it because I have not opted in for End User computer resource category and hence I do not see this attribute on my model form for end user computer?

Which attribute you can't see? I'm sorry, I'm confused. I'm pretty sure I didn't mention any attributes 🙂
