Display Knowledge articles of a category in portal widget

Hi All,

We have a requirement to display knowledge articles from a specific category in the "Most Useful" service portal widget, I have cloned the OOB "Most Useful" widget but not sure where to add the filter for categories to display only the knowledge articles from that category in widget.

Could anyone please help me.

I have same task/issue, I need to sort mostuseful articles to be shown for 3-4 different Knowledge-Bases (f.e. so that HR see mostuseful for HR and not all of the most-useful non-HR related, and other categories samewise only "related MostUseful to their KnowledgeBase" on one same Portal page, depending on the KB article's Knowledge Base that user currently views on page. 

I cloned the widget and Script Includes to modify the code, currently struggling with the approach. Did you find the solution for it?
