Do SN notifications send to microsoft teams email address's?

Hi,

Anyone able to confirm if you are able to send to a onmicrosoft.com email address via a notification?

Scenario: I have an incident notification where when someone adds a comment it will send an email to the assignment group of the ticket. The assignment group have set up the email field with an MS Teams address.

I can see the email in the "Sent" part of the mailbox, but my email team have confirmed they have not received an email from SN in their email gateway.

Yes, you can sent it and if the email is showing as 'send', it really is in your infrastructure that it is not getting through.

To my knowledge.  No that will not work.

The easiest way is to setup incoming webhooks for the channels you want to message and perhaps a lookup table that stores the webhook for each team.

Then you can use a BR to trigger it.

This is one way of going about Teams notifications.

Just so it is noted, I worked with my infrastructure team. Turns out for MS teams mailbox's you can set it to be either private or public. This is why the email was not getting through.

Hi @Jacob23

The email can be sent but may be it is being blocked your internal IT policies. Please check with IT Team.

Amit
