Document Intelligence to process mutliple Documents

Hello everyone,

I am new to ServiceNow and Document Intelligence.

Currently, we are attempting to use DocIntel to process several PDF files with varying structures and formats so that we may use the extracted data in another application (perhaps putting into an excel spreadsheet or using any external files to store it and use it with ServiceNow RPA Studio).

We are attempting the following steps in order to retrieve the extracted value for 1 PDF at a time based on the community forums and documentation. @Loic1  @Earl

Steps:

>>Create a Use Case from Document Intelligence

>>Create a fields you want to extract from document and key groups if any

>>Upload the document from Document Task Tab (Process the tasks and when it’s ready, open it in the Document Intelligence )

>>View the extracted value from the "Field Values" option

>> Using "Integration Setups" to process and get the values from "Field Values" to automate from Flow Designer

Please do let me know if my understanding is wrong,

Here are my questions,

  1. What is the use of having Flow designer as every time there is a need to upload the documents manually via "Document task" tab ?
  2. Is there a way to process upload multiple documents at once, process them and see the extracted values somewhere?
  3. Do we need use "Tables" from ServiceNow to store the extracted value as already we are storing them in the "Field Values" and if so, what is the need of using tables and Can we use any existing table or we should create new tables ?
  4. Can we process multiple document with different formats after training on few formats of documents?
  5. Please elaborate about the usage of Flow Designer with DocIntel as well and suggest a way to store the extracted values either in external files or in any excel

Your suggestions are very helpful.

• Document Intelligence is a technology that allows for the processing of multiple documents in the ServiceNow platform.

• It enables users to quickly and accurately search, classify, and extract data from documents.

• Document Intelligence can be used to automate business processes, such as extracting data from invoices, contracts, and other documents.

• It can also be used to improve the accuracy of ServiceNow's data sources and to provide better insights into customer data.

• Document Intelligence is powered by AI and machine learning algorithms, which allow it to process documents quickly and accurately.

Thanks for your reply,

I still have few queries, Could you please reply to them as well.

1.Can we upload multiple documents in the source/Target Table for the flow designer to get process all the documents and fill up the extracted fields in the Table?

2. Is it necessary to create new tables for every document or we can use any existing table? (Currently don't have access to any of the available tales, please let me know the roles required to use tables as well)

3.  is there a way we may use the extracted data( from target tables) in another application (perhaps putting into an excel spreadsheet or using any external files to store it and use it with ServiceNow RPA Studio).
