Hi everyone,
I’m currently reviewing license consumption for GRC roles in our instance and need some clarification.
While checking in Subscription Management and the license_role table, I couldn’t find the sn_grc.business_user role listed, but I did find sn_grc.business_user_lite with the role type set to Fulfiller.
From this, it seems that GRC Business User might be a non-licensable (free) role, while Business User Lite is a licensed role under Integrated Risk Management (IRM).
Can anyone confirm if this understanding is correct?
Also, could someone explain the functional difference between the Business User and Business User Lite roles in GRC?
Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi,
Role details for IRM can be understood from the sn_irm_shared_cmn_licensing_role_type table. This is the table used as part of metering.
As seen, sn_grc.business_user is considered a licensable role under the IRM Operator definition.
Further details are available in: DEFN1001852 | IRM operator and DEFN1004375 | IRM Lite operator
The 'lite' version is intended for teams sitting outside of the core risk function, such as business manager, technology owners, app admins, etc. Users with the 'lite' role can respond to policy acknowledge requests; report issues, policy or compliance violations; update logged issues, reported compliance cases, requested expectations; raise requests for exceptions, inquiries, or request advice.
